- The Call to Embrace Authenticity
What in the world is authenticity and why does it matter? I'll start with what authenticity means in Jesse Land, and it's simple. It is sharing the dirty details about my life's experience, my mistakes, my assumptions, the people I've let down, etc. And doing it out loud. For me, that is being authentic. For me to apply any effort into hiding the scars and hiding the highlights, and this sort of thing is energy. That's like poorly spent and it hides what is true. I know that's not comfortable, but that's how I roll, that's how I see it, and why in the world is it important and why is it going to be more important? So you know, I produce some content and I've got this super cool app that I can download a video and cut clips and do, do, do, do. Well, now I can type words in and it mimics my voice, I can hit a button and if I'm kind of looking away, the AI on the damn app makes my eyes look as if I'm staring right at the camera lens. And why is that a problem? I don't know if that's a problem because I'm leveraging it right. I'm getting things done faster. I'm able to process. Well, not just me, my brother is able to process content shout out Rene much faster because of the AI that's built into this thing. Why it's important is because at some point in the future and it's happening now there are a bunch of really lazy people that are going to leverage the hell out of AI and push out volumes and volumes of content, and it's going to have no heart, it's going to have no feeling, it's going to be points that they pull out of the echo chamber and, even worse, they're probably going to be able to use some of our this beautiful face here. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see, not a conspiracy theories, but it is possible. And so if we're going to be in the content game and if I'm just making the same mouth noise that everybody else is making in these echo chambers, repeating the buzzwords, talking about the, the high SEO topics, I'm going to get drowned out. I'm going to be lost in the noise. And so to protect against that and to continue building and nurturing the connection that I have with the community LNM, family members and OBS tribe out there the only way for me to make sure anybody knows that it's actually me is to be authentic, which means sharing all the dirty details, and so the question to you is what can you start doing right now to build your strength and your comfort in sharing the dirty details so that we can experience the fully authentic? You be cool and we'll talk at you next time.
Here are some great episodes to start with.
