In this thought-provoking talk, the host discusses his encounters with colleagues who repeatedly express their intent to reconnect but never follow through. The recurring theme is that actions speak louder than words - a concept that the host sees at play in these scenarios. He encourages viewers to be mindful of their actions and how they might impact their relationships, potentially leading to loss of contact or diminished engagement.

I can't hear you. Your actions are too loud. This comes to mind every time I'm out and about and I connect with somebody that, you know, we're colleagues, we've done some work together, we've spent time together. And we always kind of say bye by like, we should get together again. Or, man I miss connecting with you like we used to. I'm like, yeah, I agree. When are you available? Let's lock it in right now. Wow, I'll get back to you. Like, oh, okay. That happens one or two times and then I'm like, no response, right? Next time they say the same thing, all they're doing is saying the same thing. And so, yes, it's another variation on your actions speak louder than words. And so here's the question. Have you noticed somebody that you used to have regular contact with, deep engagement with, all of a sudden disassociate? Maybe it's because your actions are so damn loud they cannot hear the words that you're saying. Be cool and we'll talk at you next time. Peace!
